Best and Worst dressed of the 2013 Golden Globes

I'm sure that many of you were watching the Golden Globes last night and as many of you know, what the people are wearing is pretty much the biggest deal of the night! I know it is certainly one of my favorite parts of it all! However, Tina and Amy were great hosts and provided a lot of good entertainment for the night! Now, I have picked and created my own best and worst dressed list for the night. I just picked 3 of each to make it a little easier and I will start with the worst first!
WORST DRESSED

This dress is so ugly!! i don't know what she was thinking when she chose this dress, but first of all, who wears seperates nowadays!? And also, te flowers are not only hideous, but they also stick out to give the dress a 3D effect! Her hair is also so plain, and this whole look is just plain and not good....

I don't even know what this is!!! Lucy Liu is gorgeous and she blew it with this dress!! Even fairy tale dresses are prettier than this. Nobody wears poofy dresses like this anymore, specially with a print like this. Not a red carpet look, and no one should ever wear this!!

This is the worst of the worst!! It is as if she is going to a funeral for Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean! I cannot believe she is even comfortable going out in public looking like this! Her hair is so messy and gross and this dress is just awful along with a very tacky "lips" purse. This outfit is all wrong for the red carpet, or for anything for that matter.
Now, it's time for the Best Dressed!!!
BEST DRESSED:

Jessica Alba is absolutely stunning!! My husband has had the biggest crush on her forever and I don't blame him! This color is perfect against her skin and the shape fits her perfect body. Her hair is elegant and the necklace is fabulous!! I must say though, it looked much bette on the red carpet than it did during her nomination.

Zoey Deschanel was absolutely stunning in red!In my opinion, she should wear this color every single day. She is timeless in this dress, and her hair and makeup are perfect! I love Zoey and this makes me love her even more!
 
Katherine Mcphee was absolutely gorgeous as well! In this very daring and sexy dress, I just love the risk she took! She nailed the look by having her hair up so it didn't take away from the dress and her mkeup is flawless! Love this look!!!

I guess I'm not a Wen girl....

So, in more recent posts I have described my experience with Wen hair care and to be honest, I just don't think that this product is for me! I purchased a one month supply for 29.99 along with a few extra goodies and I was so excited to use it! After a couple of uses, I really didn't see that much difference. For one, I don't color my hair that often so I couldn't tell any difference in how much longer my color stayed in, and second, my hair did not blow dry out perfect! I still needed to straghten and curl after blow drying it. I thought this product was supposed to save my hair from all of these things but it didn't!
To top it all off, the second month came around and I was charge $45 for another package of Wen.....I was so mad that it was more expensive and you can surely bet that I will be sending this package back and getting a refund for it. I was bummed that Wen didn't work out for me. I guess my hair is just hopeless and will forever be damaged with over use of heat products. At least I won't break the bank buying regular shampoo anymore!! And just because it didn't work for me, doesn't mean that it won't work for you, so I hope this doesn't encourage all of you too much!!

How to properly use WEN

This demonstration below shows how to properly use WEN. Follow these directions carefully, and Chaz Dean is sure that you will have luscious hair afterwards!

In my opionion. This seems like a lot of product to use. If you are like me and have long hair, I'm not going to have much of this conditioner left when I'm done! I guess we'll find out soon if the price for WEN is worth the little bit of product you get in the end!!

Give the gift of Makeup!!

I personally love make up!! I will spend so much time in the morning just playing with my makeup and trying new things. I probably care about it too much, and often find that I don't like to leave the house with my makeup on. It gives me the confidence I need to feel beautiful and who doesn't like confidence!!!
So, for all you ladies out there, or men who are looking for a great gift for their girl, try makeup!! Go for an eyeshadow, lip gloss set, or fingernail polish. Unless you know what they like specifically, I would stick to these things b/c you don't want to offend in any way!! A Bare minerals kit is a great way to start, but that is more for if you know what your friend/gf wants! I personally love makeup from sephora, and amazon has a lot of really great deals right now on sephora items. These are just a few ideas, but all department stores have great deals and makeup choices that you can choose from!
Now, this is just a suggestion, but I can guarentee that whichever lady receives this will love it!! I know I would be pumped to ge an eyeshadow pallette as a gift!
Another great gift for a woman, would be perfume!! I find myself in the perfume isle all the time wanting all of them and testing each one individually. I do find my nose a little overworked, and end up have a weird mesh of smells stuck in my nose b/c I try way to many, but it is totally worth it!! If you are a man buying for a woman, she is pretty much going to love any smell that you like. Unless she has a specific kind she asked for or uses, this would be the way to go.

Ombre

I really have to give a shout out to the peron who thought of the ombre hair style. For one, I think it looks so col, and sevondly, it gives me an excuse to grow out my roots and not feel bad about it!!! lol :) My roots aren't that much different than the rest of my hair, but it does kind of look like the ombre look and I am loving it! I didn't even have to spend a ton of money at the salon and now I can buy some fabulous new years eve outfit instead! Thank you again Mr. Ombre!

2nd day of using WEN hair care

So, today is the 2nd time I have shampooed (is that even how you spell that?!?) with WEN . My hair feels great!! I did something a little different though. I used the extra intense conditioner that came with the package I got. You use the extra conditioner if you have extra dry hair an you apply it after you have used the initial conditioner or your hair is clean. You have to apply it to wet hair and leave it in for about 20 to 30 minutes, so it really does take a while. I didn't leave mine in for that long and still got great results so I guess it just depends on how dry your hair is! It was kind of inconvenient though, b/c I showered, and then you either nee to stay in the shower for another 20 minutes, or get out of the shower and get back in to rinse it off. I ended up just rinsing it off in the sink, but I really don't like to do that all the time so I might save it for when I take a bath or something.
Anyways, my hair was so soft and smooth after using the initial conditioner and the extra conditioner!!! you do have to make sure that you rinse it off really well, b/c I did have some parts of my hair be a little greasy and almost too conditioned. I will probably only use this stuff for special occasions b/c it is so time consuming but it is a nice little secret weapon to have around for soft and sexy hair!!
Another thing that I noticed about WEN hair care is that I feel like my hair is a little bit longer already!! I have only used it twice (in 3 days time b/c I don't shampoo/wash my hair everyday) and it feels longer already! I couldn't beieve it, and I hope that it continues to grow so I can have beautiful long locks!!! So far, I am really like the WEN hair care treatment!!
